The thoughts of the 26th witness

Hey Hi 👋 Thank you for your post and contributions to the Blurt community. 👍😎

I will ask you this question as you seam confortable with Graphene Dadabases. I am a GIS professional and I wonder if Blurt GraphDB is “geometry ready”. I mean in GIS regular tabular tables, we have a field for geometry shapes (points, lines, polygons) from which we can generate mapping with an interface. I wonder if Blurt posts could have a raw geometric component from which we could associate geolocation to posts? Enabling GIS Intelligence to Blurt. Would it simply require an interface with an open-source GIS component?
Imagine searching the Graphene Database by geographic parameters. All the dApp functionalities we could use to offer/demand services & goods.

Can I please ask you @frankbacon and the #blurtlegion a favour and you could find a satisfying answer to this question 👆? I am deep into GIS mapping.

Short answer is Yes! 🤬

Graphene makes better sense as a civics tool...
Rather than a social network 🥓

So it should mean that we could eventually have an updated interface when we create a post that would allow to have a dedicated field, like a separate section similar to the title field, body field & tag field, but a field specifically dedicated to geometry.

Any interface with Open Source GIS like

Quantum GIS

could consume the posts with rich geographic features. We could even integrate “MapViewerFrames” as posts’-content!

It would already be possible to add such data to the JSON metadata of a post. You'd just need to add the functionality on a frontend for reading that data and displaying it, and you would need a frontend that has the functionality to add that data to a post. It shouldn't be too complicated.

I think @tekraze could probably build something like that.

Another chain developed by some of the blurt team DIG is specifically designed for this. For doing fractional real estate.

Please @saboin, you know how I value TIME and FOCUS.

I am in your SPACE-TIME area around mid next-month.
Can we meet? Many subjects to cover. AMA, I am with Transparency. I bring my NUC just incase we get comfy-techy. I am building a VM environment for Blurt-Hive-Nodes.
