We are in the last month of the year

It's the last month of the year and again a time of reflections where we look back and see how did the year go by. Did we achieve our goals or not, did we keep up to our resolutions or not. Beginning of every year we make some resolutions and then as the year progresses for majority of the people those resolutions start fading out again as the end of the year comes we start looking at those resolutions and then feel disappointed that we could not keep up with them. I am not saying this happens with every one, but yes it does happen, specially for very personal resolutions like where we decide to go on a certain diet and lose weight or we decide to start with some new practice.

Anyways, this is a good time to reflect on those things which we had planned at the beginning of the year but we could not keep up with it. Why could we not keep up with it. Was it lack of discipline or some other obstructing factors that did not allow us, or we kept procrastinating.

Personally I have stopped setting New Year resolutions, that does not mean I have no resolutions. Mine are need based when I want to achieve something and that can be at any time of the year where I set a timeline for myself and then I work towards it to achieve. In-between I pause and reflect on my performance. This new year resolution thing has never worked for me very well. Though I had set some targets to achieve on this platform at the beginning of the year and that I can say that I have achieved, which I am happy about.
