New Generation UD Cameras in iPhone 15

Apple is expected to announce a new dual punch hole design iPhone 14 Pro series later this year. But to move to an under-display (UD) solution the remaining goal and free up even more screen actual property withinside in the future. According to a new report from South Korean outlet The Elec, OTI Luminous and Samsung Display are developing a new generation of UD camera which will debut next year first on the Galaxy Z Fold5 and will later make its way to Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro models in the fall of 2023.

Samsung Display is reportedly make partnership with OTI Lumionics which has developed a new organic cathode generation patterning material (CPM) which enables “microscopic transparent windows to be opened withinside the cathode and OLED pixel layers”. This in flip makes the display completely transparent allowing for Apple to fit its FaceID sensors under the display. While unlocking the display the IR sensor will function as regular it leaving a completely notch and cutout-free display for customers to enjoy.
