You may be familiar with Blurt's two block explorers, https://ecosynthesizer.com/blurt/ which is operated by the symbionts team and https://blocks.blurtwallet.com/ which is an official explorer that we haven't been able to upgrade in over a year due to the developer that maintained having left Blurt during the last Christmas attack without releasing the source code.
I figured some time has passed and being optimistic over the fairly smooth recent hard fork v0.8.2 that Blurt achieved, I wondered whether contacting the original dev in a diplomatic fashion would yield results. I did so and he was kind enough to open up the source code, and here it is:

Over time we will upgrade features on this explorer, we consider this a major win for Blurt, the alternative would have been to write one from scratch.
Any community developer is welcome to fork this code and run their own alternative explorer, if it is good we may even list it in the menu dropdown of blurt.blog.
Hey! Missed this post. Great to see this. Well done. Im very happy with how things have been going since the the whole 7/7 thing. You and the whole team really seem to be focused on getting things done while not getting mired down in arguements from people with opposing views, (you can let me assist in that lol) yet instead incorporate a good chunk of negotiation directly into the changes being made and I think that is great. Keep up the good work and diplomacy, as you ve mentioned..it will certainly win the day.
Also thank you for supporting my Blurt Cost of Living Indicator posts, I think it s a fun little series that spurs engagment and people find it fascinating, learning about expenses in other countries compared to their own during these times of hightened global inflation.

Regarding the cost of living indicators that always interests me, I travelled a fair bit myself. I always get arguements from people saying that it is all relative and lands up being the same if you live there because you earn in the local currency, but I say that’s not correct because it depends what buying power the same job type gets you in each country, whether you can still purchase the same basket of goods with your earnings.

That is good to know you are well traveled as well. Yes, you are 100% on the money. Earning power, currencies, job market....all has an extreme effect. Even imposed terifs on imports. The same TV in Ecuador cost twice as much as the one in New York, yet salaries are a fraction of what they are in the states.

That's great - it really does need some serious data fixes, as some things are just plain wrong, eg the curation rewards per vote.
Im glad you did retrieve that i workig so hard so that i can become a dev someday to come and work for blurt. When i see this opportunities and i cant help i sincerely feel hurt. If there is any frontend job i could do. Thanks.

This means that block explorer will have new features now with time and also i see there are some bugs in explorer so i guess those will be fixed as well. Like when i click on the richlist i can see nothing.

Communication, knowing how to put yourself in another person's place. Knowing how to maintain a healthy conversation can lead to great achievements in spite of having different points of view. It doesn't matter if we are enemies, or have different points of view. If at some point we want to achieve something, mediation and the ability to understand what we want to achieve ensures success and learning. Maybe soon we will have the Blurt.Buzz design back.
