There is scarcity of blood units in the blood bank right now. One possible reason would be, there are no blood letting activities being conducted by the Local Government Units during the month of December and January since its the holiday season.
Last week, there are about 6 patients who went to our facility trying their luck to get assistance in requesting blood from the blood bank. Sadly, they all got the same answer - "no blood units available".
