This is what sometimes you eat as snacks which also serve as a source of nutrients into the body system it's also very rich and protein for all kinds of ages ranging from little children to an adult to also old age range. I said is because it is always being consumed generally and this also gives me the privilege to say that it is generally acceptable in consumption. When you make a little journey along the road you see some people hawking this type of snacks for people to buy and consume.
It is also seen around our immediately environment here where I reside. Sometimes it is categorized to be the food of the northern part of Nigeria but as for me I will say that even here in the western part of Nigeria it is widely acceptable and it is consumed in different category of states. When you have this type of meal that so many people accept it and go for it despite the fact that things are costly the price of food stuff shot up 3 to 4 times the initial prices and yet people still go for some local foods and snacks are long they local Street or in market. Or it is brought back home to finalize the cooking and the consumption begins.
It is right that we have so many local street food here in west African Nigeria among where we have roasted plantain, roasted corn, roasted yam, roasted potatoes, roasted cocoyam, with all other such as walnut, eggplant fried sauce and so on. This has a lot to offer to human being not just because it is easily consumed but because it also use as food for other people. When some people consume roasted corn like 3 to 4 of it then they are okay for dinner. We have many people like that so it is alternatively used as food or snacks.
This was how it was purchased very early in the morning and it was extremely hot so I had to remove the black nylon instantly. Not that some people actually consume it this way. While song will wait for the other part of it to be done. I mean frying of it.
- The next thing I did after it got cold was that I had to cut it into my own required shape. This part of it depends on individual choices. You can create any shape of your choice from this. After I used the knife to cut it evenly there comes the frying process as soon below.
I used the type of vegetable oil that was available at the moment. Your own case you can use any type of vegetable oil of different categories and prices.
After that I patiently waited for few minutes for the vegetable oil to get hot while I put on the fire. You can also use any type of fire source or heat source depending on your own choices. I used this so that I can be able to regulate the temperature and the Heat source too.
All this preparation was based on my own intelligent and what I was supposed to do. So that was my own method of frying.
So I asked to please the cheese one after the other so that it will be able to rest inside the hot vegetable oil although it does not matter. It will Fry in as much as you pour very enough of the vegetable oil at first.
- So the frying process continued gradually so at this moment I insured that there was no too much heat supply so that it will not get burnt quickly. This is why sometimes when you see some people hawking this type of local street food eat looks so dried and looks burnt.
One thing about this local meal is that it is easily burnt so you need to sit down and watch closely. Meanwhile you need to turn it upside down so that it will fry evenly as shown in the picture.
At this point the cheese was totally fried up and it's very delicious and very tasty to consume.
- Within 10-15 minutes it's already done. The faux cheese is ready.
