Blurt posting Fees are strange!

in blurt •  3 years ago

I have noticed that the longer posts I publish, the bigger is the fee I pay to have my post published.

While this may look reasonable from the perspective of covering up for the resources spent on the blockchain, IMHO this doesn't attract good, longer and quality posts and stories. As when I post a single photo without any text, the fee is the smallest.

Is that what's generally expected on Blurt?

Do you agree? I think the posting fee should be some average value, perhaps calculated from the last few days or so.

Yes, this is normal and expected behavior

Blurt has two fees:

one charged on all transactions, the other charged per kilobyte stored to the chain.

I understand the technical rationale, thank you. I think from content perspective, speaking long-terms, this isn't quite good for the platform. Just my opinion, of course.
