Recently, i have started to use the Mac Book Pro. I am a heavy Windows/Linux user for more than a decade and the MAC Book is totally new to me.

Useful Shortcuts for MAC Book Users

Below are a few things that I've learned to get used to the MAC OS:

  1. First thing of difference is that the Windows close buttons are on the left in MAC OS.
  2. Mouse scroll direction is opposite - but you can change it by unticking the "Scroll: Natural style" in System preference settings.
  3. ctrl - left and ctrl - right to switch screens easily
  4. command + C instead of ctrl + c to copy
  5. command + W to close current app
  6. command + M to minimize current app
  7. command + space to invoke spotlight search
  8. command + Left / Right = Home / End button jumming to begining/end of the current line
  9. command key is mapped from win key on keyboard
