[ENG] BLURT newbie goes witness!

in blurt •  3 years ago

Hello, this is @joviansummer. I recently joined BLURT community, but I just went ahead and started a witness node.

I did it mainly because we need more active witness nodes to strengthen BLURT blockchain. It seems that many witness nodes havn't produced a block for more than a week.

I joined STEEM community first in April this year not even knowing BLURT exists. I recently found out about BLURT and joined this community.

STEEM is great, but I also think BLURT has a big potential and unique charm(positive vibe and no spamming) with transaction fee and no downvote.

Currently, I'm working on 2 projects on BLURT, as follows:

@jsup curation project(operational):

If you delegate BLURT POWER(BP) to @jsup, you can get daily upvote or give daily upvote to your beneficiaries(family members, friends, your favorite authors, etc) or both. Please check the following link for details.

Telegram chat-bot for account info(in development):

I'm developing Telegram chat-bot so that you can check your account information(BP, voting power, etc) via Telegram messenger. As development goes, I will post more details later.

I believe I can maintain a stable witness node because I've been running a STEEM witness node for about 2 months without missing a single block.

Thank you for reading. Please vote for @joviansummer, and let's grow BLURT chain together!

How does one go about creating a witness node? What is required after having one?

You need to deploy and maintain a linux server that runs 24/7. As for witness node installation, check the following link:

In addition to that, I googled about "blurt witness node" to find more info.
