Through these window of hope
I looked back from abinitio
With smiles hugging my face
Thinking, and shouting aloud
How a drop of water made an ocean?
I write to you, my good friend
Hoping I meet you in good shape
I remembered how poverty raped us
Forcefully crippled our voice in school
Making us homeless and helpless
We have no penny or soda
No food, no cloth, everything nada
Yet we managed ourselves within
That room of utmost regret and misery
Where we crack our limbs with silly jokes
Poverty made us Bricklayers, poor brains!
How can we study with empty stomach
When hope holds no meal for the day?
Oh yes, I remembered everything
How we both escape death in the desert.
I write to let you know
That i made it to that land of manna
Heavens have answered our secret prayers
I've made the table set for you
Hopefully, you are coming to dine with me
Because a friend in need, it's a friend indeed.
I'm leaving you no behind..
