I want to make more video content

in blurt •  4 years ago

Guys, I would like to do more video and audio content.

Could you please check out my bitcoin magazine video interview and give constructive criticism of any type that you'd like, even if it borders on being destructive. Don't worry, you will not hurt my feelings.

The objective here is to improve my delivery in situations like that and possibly even to acquire some kind of characteristic look or sound.

ex: in fact I was always quite a closet smoker.

I'd hide that from everyone because smoking tobacco is so stupid!

In this video, I was vaping.

Problem or non-issue?

Nit-pick any detail, please.

When we had our chat, you sat in front of thousand galaxies. That was great cinema! In this conference somewhere in the background you could have shown a Blurt logo. I missed it. Smoking? It's totally private! I my opinion you could leave out smoke from every hole. I don't mind. I don't mind either what kind of smoke it is. But the whole session for me was…
honestly – sorry…
…borders on destructive…
…don't take it personally…
…just a boring bla bla. You should better stay in bed next time or show Blurt Logos on your shirt, on hoodie, on walls and doors.

Dear Jacob,

I already noticed in a previous video with you that the sound is too quiet for me. Even when I have my speakers all the way open.

My English is only a school English.
Therefore, unfortunately, I could not understand all the participants. For me they all spoke too fast.

When the USA Army was still a duty Army, I used to talk to GI'S every afternoon in the pub. They spoke plain English and slowly. That's how it was possible.

But, when English speakers speak for themselves normally, I don't have a chance.

I think vaping e-cigarette is not a problem at all.

Hi Jacob,

A few observations. I wasn't able to sleep so ended up watching it before work last night. Take some of this with a grain of salt as at the end of the day, we are who we are.

My first observation is you were very high energy, enough so that it seemed to put some of them off at first. Especially the guy in the box next to you. It seemed to take awhile for the group there to warm up to you. Most people get nervous around high energy. It would be a plus in videos you might make that are either just you in them, or a host who can handle the high energy. Passion makes others wanting to share the stage uncomfortable unfortunately.

You looked up a lot while sifting through your memories. This can put an audience off as they want someone to look at them (the camera) while examining their knowledge. I understand why you were doing it, but to come off smoother you need to sift through quicker while keeping your gaze on that camera.

I wish to end this on a positive note. As the session went on, I noticed you grew more comfortable and flowed better. This set those who were nervous about you at ease and it took on a more natural flow. I literally watched the others participating grow comfortable with you. The takeaway as I write this (it just hit me) would be to steer more towards more one on ones to avoid the group dynamics. That way the person will be more open to your energy/passion and isn't wanting to be the expert on the panel.

At first I will admit I was a little perturbed at some of the energy I was picking up when you would speak from the others. I don't know the others, never heard of them. But that dude next to you, I wanted to just pull him out of the panel. His energy was detrimental at first to your impact.

It was awesome seeing you get them to warm up to you, but we (I) want to see more videos where it better suits your sharing with the rest of us. As I said, I was watching to hear your thoughts on the matter and frankly I found some of the others to be a distraction.

My Observation : it seems like these other guys had some very weird and very bad experience with Hive (Steemit) .... “Proof of Stake is so 2018” .... and the premining Ninja scam. They seem to hate Ned and Dan of Steemit and the current CEO of Hive. This is very understandable. Most people hate these guys. It’s unfortunate that they seem to consider all other coins Shitcoins based on their experience with Hive and now want to create some weird Bitcoin NFT for artists... they don’t seem to realize or know that all these so called shit coins can easily be traded for Bitcoin on Ionomy. I will tell you now that as an Artist most of these NFTs are a scam to get Artists to create Art for Free so that these guys can buy Art for almost zero dollars and resell for 10 Ethereum. Blurt is light years ahead of these NFT for Artist projects. Create Art. Share on Blurt, earn Blurt, power up and earn more Blurt. Convert some Blurt to Bitcoin on the dips.

That explains the hostility I was feeling. It was very distracting and eroded what should have been a positive experience. People need to pause and stop with the throwing the baby out with the bathwater thinking. It is the cause of missing out of many important truths and opportunities.

I don't know much about NFTs. It seems evil like with stock market manipulation. As long as others seek to shift the value to their action instead of the actual value we have false systems that do nothing but exploit.

Yeah. They seem to have been burned badly on Hive. I’m wondering what the story is ?

Good morning, the main problem I noticed was the audio which was very very low and despite having all the volume on the computer the live audio was very low. On the other hand I think it is very good content for those who have advanced knowledge in the English language but first hand you discard those of other languages such as Spanish and they should wait for subtitles when they upload the video to Youtube.

Actually, the guy running it should have tested all the volumes before the show to make sure they were equal - some were very low, others loud, some highly digitised too.

A decent mic would also help enormously.

As it was live, I assume was horribly early in the morning for you - hence you'd either been up all night or had just woken up. If you're doing the videos, then please do them on your terms at the best time for you! ;-)

I also don't much like these round-table video chats - too many voices and too little focus. 121 works much better - assuming interesting people ;-)

I've even been on TV, so have experience of how crap I look on screen!

Oh, and a transcript...plzzzz!!

and smoke away! get a pipe ;-) a big fat calabash!

Yes it was super early in the morning and I intentionally stayed up all night so that I didn't fall asleep and miss the thing. How obvious was that?

Well, I'm in the same timezone and was only awake coz took my kid to school - then saw it had started 2 hours previously! I've bailed out of many discord live chats just coz of the time.
If it's your show then you have to feel good - whatever time that might be :-)

This type of initiative is very good because it helps to clarify doubts to the viewers. As my English is very basic it was a little difficult for me to understand, but it is nice to see several people active and commenting.

PS: it was a good hour for me, but I see you had to stay up. You could tell I hadn't slept hehehe

Use a warmer incandescent light .... fluorescent lighting and LED is brutal.

Get faster reliable high speed Internet, professional microphone and headphones .... Probably sit in one spot rather than walking around. ... have a warm coloured back ground .... wood with crackling fireplace would be nice.
