FTX crypto derivatives exchange founder Sam Bankman-fried has invested $5.2 million in Joe Biden's presidential campaign. This is evidenced by the resource data Opensecrets.org.
On the website FTX.US is stated among the largest supporters of Biden for 2020. She is credited with $5,220,000 transferred to support the democratic candidate in the race against the incumbent President of the United States, Donald trump.
On Opensecret.org it is noted that the donors are " political action committees of organizations; their individual members, employees or owners, as well as the next of kin of these people." Thus, the organizations themselves do not send donations, as the law prohibits them from doing so.
Bankman-fried, in a conversation with the Block, confirmed the information about the donation, saying that he conducted it through his other company – Alameda, which specializes in market making and trading.
