Greetings my dear friends, I was visiting my first house, it is a place with many trees where I grew up happily and I have been able to keep this house full of beautiful memories, in the kitchen I observed something that brought me many memories, and that I had not seen for a long time, I found a fruit of the annatto plant, which is a capsule with thick thorny hairs and taking advantage of my phone I took some pictures so that you can also see it, and understand the process of how we get their red seeds.

Saludos mis queridos amigos, estuve de visita en la que fue mi primera casa, es un lugar con muchos árboles en donde crecí felizmente y he podido conservar esta casa llena de hermosos recuerdos, en la cocina observé algo que me trajo muchos recuerdos, y que tenía tiempo sin verlo, he encontrado un fruto de la planta de onoto, el cual es una cápsula con pelos gruesos espinosos y aprovechando mi teléfono tomé algunas fotos para que ustedes también puedan verlo, y entender el proceso de como obtenemos sus semillas rojas

I have been using the annatto tree for a long time in the kitchen, and I was very happy because I used this tree as a ladder to reach the roof of my grandmother's house, its location was fantastic because it was very close to the house, we had to cut it down recently because it was starting to deteriorate the roof, and we have kept some nuts to collect the seeds that I like to use in my kitchen.

Uso el onoto desde hace mucho tiempo en la cocina , y estaba súper contenta porque éste árbol yo lo utilizaba como escalera para poder llegar al techo de la casa de mi abuela, su ubicación era fantástica porque estaba a un lado muy cercano a la casa, éste árbol lo tuvimos que cortar recientemente porque ya estaba empezando a deteriorar el techo, y nos hemos quedado con algunos frutos secos para recolectar las semillas que tanto me gustan usar en mi cocina

As you can see in the photo the seeds are inside the capsule that can measure up to 6 cm, and this fruit that I have in my hands is already ripe notice its dark reddish colour, inside are the seeds that come off easily when you touch them, and we must keep them in a container that is hermetically sealed and then give it the desired use, I love to use it in the kitchen as an oil to give colour and flavour to my recipes. It is also a wonderful plant used a lot in natural medicine because it is an antioxidant, astringent, antiseptic and helps to control diabetes among many other benefits.

Como pueden observar en la foto las semillas están dentro de la cápsula que puede llegar a a medir hasta 6 cm, y este fruto que tengo en mis manos ya está maduro noten su color rojizo oscuro , dentro de el están las semillas que se desprenden fácilmente al tocarlas, y debemos guardarlas en un envase que esté herméticamente cerrado para luego darle el uso deseado, yo adoro usarlo en la cocina como aceite para darle color y sabor a mis recetas también es una maravillosa planta utilizada muchísimo en medicina natural porque sirve como antioxidante, astringente, antiséptico ayuda a controlar la diabetes entre muchos otros beneficios más
