The tombs of San Gennaro
This is the most well known fascination of underground Naples. The main thing you'll likely nyo notice during a visit is that the mausoleums are a lot bigger than the (more) popular sepulchers of Rome. This has to do with the usefulness and strength of the tuff, in which they have been unearthed.
Initially this was the burial place of an honorable family, dating from the subsequent 100 years. Before long it was broadened and last resting places were accommodated the Christian people group.
There are three types of tombs this one is where the wealthy were buried. ( Cubiculum)
This type Loculum was a small niche in the wall used by the citizens.
And the last one are for the poor people the floor tombs which is called forma.
