Did you know that there is a six-cave Hindu temple in neighboring India that contains more than a trillion US dollars in gold coins, gold chains, statues made of diamonds and various gems?
The Sri Padmanabaswamy temple, which is considered to be the richest Hindu temple in the world, located in the Thiruvananthapuram area of Kerala state, India, was the subject of great controversy in recent years due to the great wealth that was secretly hidden there. So today's article is about that.

It is assumed by archaeologists and historians that the construction for Lord Vishnu may have started around 5000 years ago, but it is difficult to find such a clear evidence about the beginning of the Padmanabaswamy temple in history.
According to other sources, this temple was built in the 16th century and shows that the kings of Travancore (Kings of Travancore) created six very strong caves using thick stone walls. Legend has it that opening these caves without permission can cause a great disaster. Legend further states that by opening the caves, two large cobras can emerge and it can be very destructive.
The temple was ruled by the traditional Maharajas
Since the 16th century AD, the temple has been managed by the Maharajas who belonged to a royal family of Trivancore. Accordingly, from 2013 to the present, the head of the temple is Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma.
Around the year 2011, various controversial news are spreading not only in India but also all over the world about the treasure inside the Padmanabaswamy temple. Sundara Rajan, a former police officer, is filing a petition in the Supreme Court of India regarding such a large amount of wealth being controlled by a very few people, including one Maharaja, without any diversity. That was in 2011.
The decision was given by the Supreme Court of India amid protests
The Supreme Court of India, which took the petition into consideration, acted immediately and appointed a seven-member special team to examine the wealth of the temple.
Also, the court will limit the powers of the Royal family of Travancore and completely remove them from controlling the temple, and a new committee will be appointed to manage the temple. Royal families, devotees including the Maharaja are strongly opposed to the opening of the gates of the six caves.
The royal families are forced not to open the cave named B because snakes roam inside it. The royal family continues to state that opening the cave is very dangerous and that opening it is a disaster.
Responding to it, former Auditor General Vinod Rai refutes it by saying that according to his knowledge, the cave has been opened four times since 1990. In any case, due to court orders, the protestors have to withdraw from it.
For ease of reporting, the inspection teams name these six caves as A, B, C, D, E and F. The portals are opened by inspection teams with the help of temple priests. Thirunal Marthanda III was the Maharaja of Trivandrum at that time.
The wealth found after opening the portals
On June 27, 2011, the special committee opened all six portals and a member of the team, 75-year-old retired Kerala High Court judge C.W. Ranjan describes the feeling he felt when opening the portals.
“In fact they had not systematically deposited the goods and . Several gold pots, some gold nuts, and other valuables were piled up everywhere. Seeing it all at once was a mind-blowing sight. It was a great experience. I have no words to describe that moment.”
Cave A is opened first and it takes twelve days to extract, analyze and record the finds.
Gold, silver, gems and diamonds
7 kg of East India Trading Company era gold coins, more than 1000 kg of gold coins, a large number of Napoleonic period gold coins, 3.5 feet high gold and diamond studded deities, 18 feet long golden purple vines, coconuts made of gold A large quantity of nuts and gold nuggets are taken out of the caves.
Apart from gold, diamonds and various gems are found in the caves. The investigation teams conclude that these have been given by devotees from all over the world since ancient times. It is said that the value of the items found is more than 22 billion US dollars, and archaeologists say that their archaeological value is three times that.
Current status of the temple

Currently, the temple is equipped with a CCTV camera system and more than 200 security guards have been deployed for security. There are security booths at several places in the temple and even machine guns are installed in them.
At present, the royal family temple has been taken out of management and the management is conducted by a special committee. This is also from the past by the same committee in 2015
