This is the news that 13-year-old Tristin Belli was killed by her classmate, 16-year-old Aiden Fuzzi.
In America, where dozens of murders are reported every day, you will suddenly wonder what the surprise is in this news.
Yes, it got national attention for two reasons.
One is the age of the killer involved and the despicable, cruel and daring manner in which the killing was carried out as well as the motive behind it.

A judge in St. John's County, Florida, sentenced 16-year-old Aiden Fuzzi to life in prison Friday for the 114-degree stabbing death of her classmate, Tristin Belli.
A “vile, atrocious and cruel” crime was committed for no other reason than to have the feeling of killing someone.
This factor is the only judge. R. Lee Smith said there could only be one appropriate punishment for Fucci: ....
"It's life in prison!"
It caught the attention of the whole nation that greed, revenge, denial of recognition or uncontrollable anger, which are generally identified as the reasons that drive people to kill, did not apply to this.
"There was no such motive for this crime," Judge Smith said in court on Friday.
"It was done for no other reason than to satisfy this defendant's inner desire to feel what it's like to kill someone," the judge said.
"It was carried out in a stealthy, calculated and premeditated manner without any pretense of moral or legal justification."
He said his court had seen a portion of the autopsy photos, but they were particularly difficult. Tristeen sustained 114 stab wounds, 49 of which were deemed to have been caused by the medical examiner's attempt to escape.
"She suffered a painful, horrific death from someone she trusted," the judge said.
In court, Fucci told friends he was going to kill someone and even talked about taking him to the woods, Smith said. He wanted to watch his blood spill!.
"Given the facts in this case, there was a high degree of premeditation," the judge said in delivering the verdict.
So, you will all agree that finding out why the children's minds work this way and addressing them will lead to creating a safer society.
