This giant tree is located in Sequoia National Park in Tulare County, California, USA. This giant tree has a trunk of 25 feet (diameter) and its volume is 52,500 cubic feet (1,487 cubic meters).
The tree was named after General William Tecumseh Sherman in 1879 during the American Civil War and seven years later the entire region was surrendered to the Kawee Colony and the tree was named after Karl Marx. But in the year 1892, the community was dissolved and the tree got its original name.
