The other day, we revealed the story that some of us are secretly selling the carcasses of wild boar or single wild boar as fake elephants. Another amazing story about their own wild boar is going to be told. What comes out of this is that while the wild boar lives in the forest, it is becoming a news maker as well as a money maker for the people living in the forest by hunting.
Since ancient times, the wild boar has been hunted or killed mainly to obtain meat for food. There were also people who killed wild pigs because they came to their fields, fields, crops, and vegetable gardens and damaged the crops. But even after such killing, the end result was that a part of it was shared by someone for meat.
Even if a wild boar dies at the hands of a butcher who hunts animals for the purpose of selling meat, it is often the case that the remaining parts are thrown away or buried. It has increased so far. This means that all the edible meat from the wild pigs killed and killed in the vicinity of the farmlands are more likely to be thrown away without being used, say the people involved in this action.
The reason for that is that it is now legal to kill the wild boar. But that is only in the farmlands. The name of wild boar is included among the few animals that are named as a harmful animal that damages the crops. Wild boars have been killed secretly and now some farmers have started to be killed in public. But in that way, the animal can be killed only in the farmland if it damages one's crops.
Otherwise, the animal is a protected animal in the forest. It is specifically mentioned that no one is allowed to kill a wild boar roaming freely in the forest for the sake of the animal's safety as the wild boar is becoming a money making machine as many people do not know.
False pits are cut to kill herds of wild boars that break into wild hens in harsh rural environments. At the eighth of the habak, the bundles are tied. Others use illegal assault rifles. There have been cases where wild boars have died due to electrocution when some people have laid illegal power lines around their farmlands.
No matter how many such things happen, behind all these killings is the desire of the farmer to protect the farmland and his crops from that animal rather than killing a wild boar. And there are people who do these things for the purpose of their farming as well as killing an animal for meat.
Although it is permissible to kill a wild boar in cultivated land for any of these purposes, it is prohibited to sell or transport the animal's meat. Therefore, if a big pig dies, the most common thing to do is to quickly cut the meat and share it with the neighbors.
Therefore, there is a lot of waste of meat in such cases. The leg is cut off for the hoof, closer to the top than where a butcher would cut it. The most common thing that happens to such people is to cut only the shrimp and throw away the pig's head with the horns. Also, any butcher cuts off the pig's snout and throws it away.
The thing that was thrown away has now come at a price. It is the wild pig's horns that are thrown away thinking that they are not useful for anything, today they have started making money secretly.
The wild boar always looks for food with its head down. With the head down, it is said that every vine, root, tuber, and plant in the forest is touched while touching it with the horn. Some roots, barks and tubers are dug up and eaten as a habit, for one thing, for one day. How many thousands of leaves, fruits, tubers, vines must have been touched by this one wild boar's snout?
According to our traditional Sinhala doctors, almost every plant on this earth is a medicine. A medicinal plant. It is confirmed from the facts that most of the trees and vines in the jungles have some medicinal properties.
When you touch hundreds, thousands of such herbs, roots, leaves, stems, barks, tubers, and nuts of roots, thousands of times, tens of thousands of times daily, how many medicinal properties do pig's horns have? It is through a revelation or disclosure made by someone that a group of buyers have emerged to pay high prices for wild boar horns.
Raw wild boar is not sold in this way. Only the round part that touches the ground should be cut and dried. Taking your time too quickly, you will not get a price if you put your time in a pile of fire on your mind. This is something that needs to be done carefully and patiently, just like the farmers who are five or six miles away in the jungles in our rural areas where hen farming took the time to tan a piece of elk skin to make 'Kalam' broth.
It is said that a wild boar's horn that has been dried in the sun without being harmed by an animal has a high price. Since the price is set not by the number of kilos but by the number of grams, it is possible to imagine and speculate that the price is increasing day by day, but the theory of hiding the price that is unique to the people doing this kind of merci business has also affected these wolf horns, so it is still not possible to find the right price.
But one thing must be said. One cent that has been confirmed is that you can earn ten to twelve times as much money from selling these wild boar horns as you would from selling the meat from a pig.
