Ashton Agar is a son of a Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 mother. Sonia who is in Kandy is in the fate of her. She migrated to Australia in 1974 and married Jhon Agar, an Australian citizen. Sonia's father played cricket in Kandy Dharmaraja Vidyalaya. Agar is Sonia's eldest son and he also has two other brothers.
When Agar first understood the Australian National Team, Sonia Hewavissa (mother) took him to a Buddhist temple in Melbourne and handed over a Pirith thread to Agar from Vijitha Thero. His wedding match was the grey bowl tournament in July 2013 and wore Agar Pirith thread throughout the first Test match.
Ashton Agar always proud of his Sri Lankan origin. Mother, Agar and two other sons adopted her Sri Lankan customs and Buddhist lifestyle.. This is why Agar lived by strictly protecting Buddhist traditions.. Even his family often likes to eat Sri Lankan food like rice and dishes. Sambola and hoppers are the regular food of the family.
