Blurt gaining confidence from community

To be very honest, I initially thought that Blurt will not go any further after its release. However, as time go by it's starting to feel like I made a wrong judgement of the situation a month ago. Similar to some Blurt accounts, I also started a powerdown as quickly as it became available and traded most of my liquid Blurt tokens in Ionomy for other cryptos. I wouldn't say that I regret it since I was able to sell at prices ranging from 300 to 500 Sats. These are really good sell in comparison with the current price of 117 Sats.

At this point, I'm thinking of buying back the Blurt tokens I sold at the current "low" price. If I do, I'll double or even tripple my initial Blurt token holdings. An easy win right?

The reason why I'm convinced that Blurt go much further than it is right now is mainly because if the diligence of the core dev team.

Since the release of Blurt, the frontend have been improve in terms of functionality and speed which was clunky at first. The Blurt frontend was also populated with spam indiscent posts that were quickly addressed by devs by imposing transaction fees on the entire network.

At first, I was reluctant about the fees but because of the increased number of curators it felt like that the fees are acceptable. It was also reduced upon the request of the community which is a good sign that witnesses and devs are listening to what the community have to say.

Lastly, while checking some of the posts in my feed and the trending page I realize that more and more users are showing confidence for the future of Blurt. Aside from sharing their thoughts on why Blurt will have a better chance of success, they would also show and document their buying and powering-up of Blurt tokens.

These activities don't happen once a month, in fact they happen everyday which the community call as Blurt365 or 365 days of Blurt. The basic idea is to buy up Blurt tokens from the Market (Ionomy or Hive-Engine), power it up, and showcase to the whole Blurt community. It's almost the same as SPUD or HPUD but only differs in duration.

I realized that the monthly SPUD and HPUD can evoke confidence to the rest of the community so just imagine seeing multiple posts sharing their mini "Daily Blurt Power-up".

To sum things up, the main reasons why acquiring more Blurt is on my book right now are:

  • hardworking core devs and witnesses
  • buzzing community
  • aggressive approach on addressing issues

Aside from these points, I'm also aware on some of the discussions that the core devs are having and I'm pleased by the way they plan the future of Blurt and how they plan to execute it (probably better to discuss in a separate post).

Anyway, everything in this post are my opinion and are based from the posts I read as well. It's never my intention to convince anyone to buy Blurt. Please do your own research as well.

Cheers!
