Named after the East Bengal Club, a renowned sports institution in the country, the Chattar is surrounded by a diverse array of businesses, from small vendors selling local snacks to modern cafes and shops offering international brands. Its central location makes it a crucial point for transportation, with buses, rickshaws, and private vehicles constantly circulating around it. The architecture around the Chattar blends modern buildings with older, colonial-era structures, showcasing the city's evolution over time. At night, the area comes alive with colorful lights and bustling crowds, creating a lively atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists alike.
