Improving things little by little will make blurt a better place. Yah the FAQ page is so well written, it's a great guide for the newbies. I'm going to add that to the explore page of the register.blurt.buzz.

Yeah great idea!

I will look into how to have the rss feeds implemented.

Incredible work. I have a lot if hope for this platform and its community. Keep up the good work 👏👏👏

Really nice to see how new features are added all the time, thanks for your great work. By the way, anyone can edit the FAQ easily, more here: How to change our Blurt FAQ.

Hello @ericet. Thank you for the honor of being the Blurt FAQ writer. I am overwhelmed. Even though nothing is ready, you took the risk of trusting a frog's FAQ. Just having read all of the words is a great achievement. I hope you have that? At least at my own little pace it will continue. I promise and there is also a new contributor. Will reads and corrects every now and then.

I went thru the FAQ, it's so much better than the existing outdated FAQ. Take your time, we are improving things little by little everyday, will make better future for blurt.

Thanks. That's the way. By the way – good moment to ask.
Lots of operations are to do in the explorer's Broadcast. I know the meaning behind some of them and guess they are the same as on Steem. Most of the options explanations on Steem I didn't understand the meaning before too. I wish one could explain every option. In short way, bullet points I would understand. To bring it to the bloggers.

Just a suggestion: copy the list of options. explain each option in short bullets. To lead me towards understanding. In case then I don't understand again, at least my questions get better.

I was thinking to remove the broadcast tab from the explorer. these are for developers and it's pretty useless right now. I'm going to replace it will something more users friendly

  ·  4 years ago  ·   (edited)

Useless? I wonder if for API use the Steem developer files are still the right manuals. Did you change the API. Do I have to know something special or is it still all right to read Steem manuals?

I thought you were talking about the Broadcast tab in the explorer. It's pretty useless now.

The Steem developer portal is still the right resource if you want to write some programs but with some changes.

Some of operators on the list are either disabled(claim account, create clam account, etc) or haven't implemented yet(account_update2)

Also I know the blurt team is working on a REST API soon, so will be many new stuffs coming. After everything is settle down, we are starting update the developer docs.

I tested Sign up as efrog and produced an error in the 3rd step payment. How? In a first attempt, i've let payment on default Credit and pressed submit.
Oooops! I like to pay by BLURT! While on the 4th screen already I went back (previous). But my username is gone on page #3, and there's no way to log the username again. I screwed up the Sign up. I do need a new username now, and that's a pitty.
The solution is easy, isn't it?

When you select a payment then submit, it creates an order and you can always come back and pay for the payment. If you like to use different payment method, you can create a new order. The username not taken if you don’t pay for it

Congratulations on your dedication and great contributions.
Take this opportunity to ask you, once I tried to upload a gif in mp4 format, for that opportunity it did not allow me to upload the video. Can I actually upload a gif? thanks for your attention.
Good vibes.

It doesn't allow you to update videos, but you can upload gifs. Like this one:

awesome work, any chance you can support wistia too?
https://wistia.com/support/developers/oembed
-- i've always wanted to use this on decentralized blogging because you can do so much with it, in terms of hyperlinking, chapters, call to actions, emailing lists -- would be so great to use here on blurt.

Will look into the document and support wistia videos.

Have the wistia videos supported

awesome man! :) -- i'll give it a test out.

hmm, not sure which embed thing to use.. .

?embedType=iframe&videoFoam=true&videoWidth=640

hmmm, not sure how to use the native embed classics to embed my wistia videos ;(

?embedType=async&videoFoam=true&videoWidth=640

what about this one. . trying to work out how you did that embed. .. it it's oembed this code should work. ..

okay, i thought all the wistia videos start with home.wistia.com, i need to fix the regex.

yeah let me know if you need me to send any other information to help get this working, will be cool if we can get the main embed working because it has features that other video hosts do not currently and it can majorly help promote blurt i think if we utilize them. let me know when it's working!

OMFG, the updates are quick!

It is admirable the rhythm of work and performance put in each task assigned and aspect of this great project called Blurt. I already tried and worked the FAQ section, I'm going to review each element because I want to know more about this social network of exchange and consumption of high quality content. In every publication, even in Twitter I'm promoting and inviting new users to echo this promising project.

Congratulations to all the team that is making these improvements and updates possible.

This is great. I will post sone videos.
