Let's talk about the dripping melanin boys
The brown skinned girls
Yellow like Fanta
Our colours are joy givers
Bodies sculptured like freshly made calabashes
And smooth like gold passed through fire
Hair, thick and curly like black charcoal watered as if in a rain forest
Red blooded alphas with broad shoulders that balance their problems on one side and their pride on the other
Minds that birth treasures so divine
And voices that spew dopeness that leaves you in awe like, louder!!
We are the embodiment of the colour, green.
We might be victims of a centre that can no longer hold
But with the same teeth which we gnash in sorrow
When promises slip through our hands like sand in tight grip
We bare it into a smile
For our younger ones who still believe in the fulfillment of A Home
We break into Zanku
Stamping out words like, this is a dead end
Shaku Shaku
Two hands in chains, then it's broken
For the smile on our mother's face tells us
Be free like the wind
For the Nigeria of your brother's dream is you
We believe in family and blood
And the bond that knits us together is pure
We are the embodiment of the colour, white.
