So your answer is "yes, the comment section is mine"?

yes

in the same way that you can make your facebook page "friends only"

Why do you want the comment section to be yours?

Because the comments on my posts are MINE , 🤬🥓 , and I would choose which comments stay or go.

What is a comment for you?

I believe in the right to deny other accounts activity on my articles.
Mute Button, Block ability, and comment moderation.

AND NO ADS!

I plan to put this under my postings from further on:

Etiquette:

Anyone who wishes and initiates an exchange with me or with other commentators on this post, please do so while respecting the etiquette desired here with me:

  • Before making interpretive assumptions about the person, life and beliefs of the blogger or another commenter, ask the person whether your interpretive assumption is going to be welcomed
  • Refer to the content provided
  • Avoid foul language and what you yourself consider to be very offensive insults
  • If you do not want to avoid provocation, insults and other radical forms of expression, make this clear at the beginning so that the person addressed can be prepared accordingly. It will not actually diminish the impression of provocation, insult very much, even if you make such as "intention to gain knowledge", i.e. "just want to help". Whether someone wants to accept help or not is not the decision of the provider but of the receiver. Respect that.
  • Do not use the comment space for mere statements of what you are lecturing about, what you are upset about or expressing anger about. If I, as the addressee, have the impression that you are doing so, I reserve the option of responding with "I take this as a statement that you do not wish to pursue further".

Since I consider the blog to be "my content" but the comments section to be part of the public domain, I ask that you respect etiquette. Although it should be clear that in the case of disrespectfulness nothing further will happen on my part except that I will ignore you or dismiss the reference to "no further engagement apparent".

I will mute spam in what is generally considered to be such.
