I truly understand how you feel @riverflows, nonetheless, don't let the twitter clause prevent you from participating in the competition. For a well published work, you need not worry about that, as the quality of ones work makes up most of the work.
Lest I forget to mention, I believe that this competition is what lot of persons with great writing skill will jump on. Being able to create a master piece from just a word thrown to you shows you are nothing short of a genius. So, even if the participant doesn't win the contest, he/she would know that he/she have become a little better than he/she was a week before. Challenges leads to mastery.
