Education:
@woleyou - Family education (9) : education is not only beating to make children obedient
In most cultures, beating is suggested as a good measure for correcting a child when he/she errs. A popular verse in the Bible said "Spare the Rod and spoil the child", which has proven to be true, as most kids who are trained by sparing the rod grow up to become spoilt. But there are also some cases when kids who gets beaten alot when they were young toughen up and become bullies. This begs the question: is beating/flogging the right way to correct a child? In this article, @woleyou suggest that sometimes, just sitting a child down and explaining to the child why what he/she did is so wrong can create a better result than when you flog the child.
Psychology:
@mrnine - What's real and what isn't
We are in the social media age, and a lot of lives people show off in the social media are mostly fake. A lot of persons, especially those who are unsatisfied with themselves fall into deep depression, as usually the show-off is someone in their age grade. But with time, their fake life finally gets exposed, and the depressed person realises that she was depressed for no real reason. This is why discernment (ability to tell what's real from what isn't) is an important skill everyone must acquire to avoid being pushed into deep depression.
Ingenuity - Art:
@elenasteem - Portrait of a girl Oksana
An amazing art work by @elenasteem. This art work is a portrait of a girl named Oksana. Apart from the fact that this art work looks so real, what I love the most about the art is the eyes of the lady. It's sea green, I believe you will love it too.
Ingenuity - Poem:
@oswaldotorres88 - A poisoned mouse | POEM |
One of the best poems I have read in the blurt platform, This well written poem @oswaldotorres88 reveals a man's chain of thoughts. Due to much disturbance from rats, he made up his mind that he is going to buy a rat poison for them. Then in the middle of his thought, he deviated and started thinking more about himself, and at the end, he came to a realization that unlike the rats, it is him himself that buys the poison (unhealthy things that he consume) that will kill him. You will definitely learn a lot from this poem.
Science:
@zami2 - Insomnia: All you need to know
A detailed post on Insomnia, @zami2 covered everything about Insomnia such as it's types, causes, how to treat it, and the complications that comes with insomnia. You will truly learn a lot from this post.
Technology:
@suanky - Mucho más grande / Much bigger - [ESP/ENG] @suanky
It is mind-blowing to imagine how much we have advanced in technology within a short-time. It just feels like yesterday when we played Game boy and SEGA that uses cartridge. Today we are all talking about is a PS 5 console. If we can get to this point just within this short period, we definitely can't begin to imagine what the future holds.
