Witnesses are very essential and the play a major role in the Blurt blockchain. It's thoughtful to vote for witnesses and to vote them judiciously. A user can vote for up to 30 witnesses.
Witnesses are the ones responsible for voting on some chain properties here. And these properties are the transaction fee, account creation fees, and the bandwidth fees. They are updated from time to time.

I think is also good voting for witnesses that are up and and doing in the community and that also take their responsibilities serious. You can also remove your votes if you choose to.
