After making regular gains since January 1st, Bitcoin is at 17500 USD and looking to break out of its range. It fell from 21500 more than 2 months ago and has been consolidating ever since.
I'm not going to say it can't drop again, but I'm predicting the bear market has run out of steam. We've seen blood in the streets, capitulation, and calls of "Bitcoin is dead". This is very common at market bottoms. BTC has been following the Nasdaq for a long time now, and the Nasdaq is having a bullish moment. At some point, crypto will find its own legs, and a recovery above 22k would kick off some good times.
Another indicator is the 4 year cycle:
Notice the dates of the market tops, in blue. I have drawn in orange a possible next 2.5 years.
Nothing is guaranteed, and it won't look exactly like that, but it's certainly possible that the chart will go something along those lines - especially if the pattern continues as it has since the very beginning.
If so, BTC will recover through 2023, approach the previous high in 2024, and break out toward 150,000 USD in 2025.
BLURT
BLURT has also done well over the past 10 days. It touched 0.0016 on January 1st, and experienced the most volatility I've ever seen in a day. I said then, something's different about 2023! For many years, I have reported that the crypto market often turns at Christmas, and it looks like it might have done so yet again! Next, it steadily climbed out of its old range (0.002 to 0.004), and as I was typing this post, just surged above half a cent!
Our token hasn't been above $0.005 since the Bitcoin crash in early November! But Bitcoin has barely begun to make its recovery. Imagine what BLURT will do once BTC really takes off?
On Hive-Engine, which transacts more BLURT than the other 2 exchanges, it's trading between 0.0052 and 0.0055 today. So this isn't just an anomaly of the chart. Also, total trade volume is quite good.
If BLURT went up x20 from here, it still wouldn't be at its previous all-time high, so there's a long way to go. Hang on for good times!
Of course, there could be a sudden reversal, but everything we're seeing now says the bottom is in. A sustained bull market appears to have begun!
My Blurt Situation
I'm trying to become Blurt's highest-paid creator! Currently I'm in the top 5 (although I don't know exactly where... if you have stats on that please let me know). I am a Blurt-first creator, meaning that I create content for this blockchain. Some of it is shared later on elsewhere, some of it isn't, but it's ALL created with Blurt in mind.
I only have 122 followers, but thankfully, some are the big curators on this platform. They know I put several hours into each post I make, and post on important topics several times every week. I'd really like to get more eyes on my material, though, because it's not just about the payouts! I want my message to get seen. The down market seems totally intact, looking at this chart. Maaaybe it's starting to flatten out, but then again, maybe not!?
I sure hope we begin to recover now, though. We have put in a lot of time and effort, made sacrifices, and taken risks.
Together we now have 600,000 Blurt. If it goes back to the old alltime high of 0.11 USD, we could exchange it for $66,000 USD ($88,000 CAD). That's not a lot of pay for 10 years of fulltime content creation and investment, but it would allow us to put a downpayment on a house. At that Blurt price, our articles would be pulling in about $100 USD ($135 CAD). 25 posts per month would bring in $3400 CAD, which would pay the mortgage and buy the food.
Wouldn't it be amazing to earn a living for working full time doing something you enjoy and find worthwhile?

Few couples have worked as hard as we have, year after year, to create real content for these blockchains. We also put a lot of time into curating properly, and have re-invested all our earnings back into the platform. All we're asking is to earn a decent living by working fulltime creating material on important topics that people value. We missed the glory days of Steem because we were homeless at the time through no fault of our own. Back then, people were posting photos of booze or beaches, and living the high life with $500 posts. Now, we work 6+ hours for a $6 payout if we're lucky.
Let's enjoy this coming bull market, and be ready to finally cash out some of our earnings to pay our bills.

If it breaks the $18.3K resistance, the next stop maybe at $19.6K. Hopefully, the $15.5K on 21November last year was already the bottom. We'll all I want is the blurt price to skyrocket in the next cycle.
