Blurt, meet Flote!

Flote, this is Blurt. Blurt, this is Flote!

Flote is an independent social media platform started by freedom-lovers, and Blurt is a decentralized blogging platform started by free speech advocates.

We are both pro-free-market, pro-free-speech, and pro-cryptocurrency. In other words, we are brothers from another mother!

Flote does not offer the full blogging experience Blurt does, but Blurt lacks a social media component. The services we offer don't overlap, and we have the same goals... should we not collaborate?

As platforms, both Flote and Blurt are relatively small and new. That's another reason I'm proposing a friendship - and potentially a partnership - between our two excellent communities! Sharing of members and projects that are ideologically very similar will be mutually-beneficial. We're already on the same side... let's build each other up!

I invite my Flote followers to check out Blurt here: https://blurt.blog/
And my Blurt audience is encouraged to try Flote here: https://flote.app/

Flote posts can be linked to in Blurt blogs, and Blurt links can be embedded on Flote! Cross-posting content to a likeminded audience is powerful. Users of Blurt will be interested to find that Flote members can upload videos, giving them an alternative to Hive-based platforms like DTube and 3Speak. Amazingly, both platforms are free to join! (Although Blurt also has paid options for starting accounts.)

To sweeten the deal, if anyone wants help creating their Blurt account, just let me know and I'll set it up for you! You can email me (drutter at protonmail dot com) with the username you want to use, and I'll reply with a master password that will allow you to change the keys and get started. No cost or obligation required - I just want to help onboard new people!

Also, comment below with a screenshot of the new Flote or Blurt account you created because of this post. I'll credit your wallet with 50 BLURT! I want to encourage growth on both of these powerful and undervalued systems.

I would love to see Flote add Blurt to the list of supported platforms we can link to from our profile page! The related blockchains Steem and Hive are supported, so let's get Blurt - the most pro freedom of them all - on there too!

My hope is this will be the start of many fruitful connections, friendships, and partnerships between individuals and groups on Blurt and Flote. We can all benefit from the powerful and free resources available on these platforms, which together constitute a potent arsenal for truth and freedom.

See you on Flote AND Blurt!

I was promoting Flote back on Hive, but so far Flote has never taken off, which is a shame

Been tempted to join for a while as I like the content producers who promote it, but I am also concerned about censorship.

Blurt lacks a social media component

Can you explain a bit more? I'm kind of confused here.

Also, can you name the biggest benefit from using Flote? I'm not against it, just curious!

Flote is like FaceBook, except not owned by Big Tech. Flote also does what Patreon, Twitter, and YouTube do, all within the same account. It replaces all those privacy-destroying social media sites that sell your data.

If this can be a win win for both then that is great. Personally, I just can't devote another minute to being on my computer and managing another platform on top of the attention and effort I already commit here on Blurt. But if it works for you and others, I'm all for it.

If you don't want to or you haven't got the time, you shouldn't feel bad! This is just for those who want to and who can afford the time. For example, Blurt users who are ready to ditch Big Tech / FaceBook for a platform that has the same functions, but also privacy and free speech. So instead of using FB, YT, Twitter, and Blurt, they only need Flote and Blurt. Some people can actually save time and manage less platforms/logins/pws/etc, since Flote replaces so many Big Tech sites.

Anyway, how you feel about Flote is how I feel about Discord! Except people want Discord to be necessary to access Blurt services, which I disagree with. (For example you can now finally get a Blurt account without having a Blurt account... but now you have to have a Discord account!) I don't think Blurt should force users to participate in any other platform, website, or program. Flote is meant only as a bonus, never a requirement.

It would be nice to have a way to send you private messages, links, and files, but I know you're busy, and we've always got the blockchain for basic public communication. Thanks bro : ))

Good question, I don't know for sure!
But I think they do delete certain content there, like kiddie porn, or fake accounts impersonating famous people. I could try and ask the staff for some official data on that, it would be interesting.

yes, the moderation enforcement is the key to determining how "decentralized" a platform actually is

Yes, I guess every platform has some kind of a "coal list". Devil's in the details I suppose.

randomized jury

Easiest way to tell is to find the most prominent LGBTQ member on the site and use the word tranny in their comments.

If I can not use slang for trans sexuals. that's not a free speech platform.

I will be gamifying hate speech on there if I join, so dont take anything I say at face value.

This looks rly interesting they should collaborate for sure
