I see a great Blurt witnesses list but I barely know what are they doing for Blurt appart from managing/supporting a node...
I think that an important part of witnessing is communication, people must know what are you doing and why. There are some of you that do it regularly and it's really remarkable but I see a lack of witnesses stuff on posts some time ago.
This post could also serve as an updated resume of witnesses activities for others to check when needed.
A lot of people don't really know what a witness is or what is their utility or mission. They most probably don't know they can give out up to 30 votes to choose their preferred witnesses. Our community needs to get more involved in order to grow in a sustainable way.
I have 20 votes left but I won't vote for an unknown witness or an inactive one.
I will be more than thankful to those of you that participate and give some light to this matter.

As it seems you haven't been around lately, you may have missed an important update in the witness votes.
Witness vote distribution
The phrase "Every vote counts" is even more true today than yesterday ;)
As you know, you have 30 free votes available to elect your preferred witnesses, until lately for each vote you made each witnesses received the total value of your BLURT as support value.
Now, for each witness vote you make, the value will be divided by the number of votes already made.
example: you have 10,000 BLURT and vote for 1 witness, he will receive 10,000 BLURT vote support. Some days after, you decide to vote for a 2nd witness, each witness will have support from you for 5,000 BLURT each. If 4 votes, each one will receive 2,500 BLURT support from you and so on
The good thing is that it revisits the DPoS system of graphene chains by raising the role and democratic importance of each one, a whale alone cannot impose its own rules on the others and must go through negotiation in order to obtain consensus.

I've been around here since the very beginning and still around, it's only my free time that is really short due to my real life agenda and cannot afford being updated with all the stuff going on... I was aware about you, therefore I casted my vote to your witness time ago 😉

As you can see people have not an easy way to know what's going on about witnesses so far. It would be great to have some stuff working so that info can be easily found and human readable by the community... guess some day it will be up and running.
I try and do my best to engage people and add some life hence put my 2 cents onto all this.
