Greetings Blurt World!
Seems things here are progressing s-l-o-w-l-y, but at least they are progressing, so that's something.
Today, I was at least able to upload a thumbnail and header picture on the wallet page, although it doesn't seem like the profile pic is actually transferring to the front ends... oh well.
I noticed the URL of the uploaded images was "steemitimages" so not sure how that will work out, in the long run...
Meanwhile, I am trying to understand how photos are parsed. Seems the uploads are cropped (at least for thumbnails) rather than resized. Which will make it really tricky for those of us who rely heavily on our own photography.
So that's another one I'm keeping my eyes on.
From reading comments and from the Blurt Discord, it does seem like there are people working diligently on this project.

I think they are progressing with this platform nicely. I remember all the steemit forks and then the Hive split. There were lots of issues to deal with. So the issues here are problematic, yet they are working on them and resolving them as we move forward. I must say that on Discord Blurt is keeping us informed, which has not been the case on the other platforms.
Where do we vote for witnesses.

This place still feels bad.
Without a doubt, it still has its share of issues... and I still have no idea what direction they intend to go with it — where's the "value" going to come from?

Hi @detlev, closer than I am, then! With all the travel restrictions, my wife and I had to cancel our summer trip back to Denmark (from USA) this year.
