Fashion designing is a craft that has been existing from time immemorial and it is a business that can never go into extinction. Guess why? We all wear dresses varying from natives or traditional attires and they are all designed by fashion designers. When you want to go for events such as seminars, birthday parties, wedding, conferences, and so on we wear unique outfits and that's one of the reason fashion designing can never dissappear in a long time.

In order to sew a nice outfit we need to go through a lot of procedures and process to make a befitting outfit that people wear today. Just like Rome was not built in a day, it's the same way clothes that we wear are not sewn without going through some process. One of the most important process to start with is sourcing for materials. Sewing is basically joining of different fabrics and materials together in order to make a whole. It depends on the fabrics that you want to sew or the style you want to achieve - maybe a short gown, long gown, blouse, skirt, trouser and so on. These different styles requires choosing the right materials for the sewing such as the color combination that will suit the fabrics, also, elastic bands, maybe the wide or tiny one - all these would be put into consideration to make the dress come out beautifully.

For example, to make a short straight gown you would need, first, the fabrics of your choice which could be floral, patterned, colored (yellow, red, black, green, white etc,). Then, you'd need to get a lining that matches the fabrics, bridal satin, breast pad, thread, zip (color and design of your choice).

In short, to make a dress you have to source for materials from a clothing store or market near you. Most materials are available and at affordable prices depending on the quality of the dress.
