Not scary really. Most people still have no idea about POW and POS, and of all cryptocurrencies they only know Bitcoin. Therefore, sometimes this is not an advertisement for Bitcoin, but simply a necessary symbol of cryptocurrency as such.
P.s. Today I did without bitcoin.
Scary?...Nothing scary about it.
That's because it's not fit for purpose - and it never will be until tied to real world commodities of some kind. (especially POS and even more so DPoS).
Until then, digital feudalistic models (dpos), will be seen as nothing more than a ponzi scheme (whether intended , or just by mistake- due to incompetence and not understanding basic economics).

Earn Blurt, Steem, Hive, etc …. Convert to Bitcoin on the Big Bitcoin dips …. Convert to cash, pay taxes ….buy food, pay rent, give to your kids or whatever…
It’s a great savings plan. Slowly Convert all Free blogging crypto to Bitcoin and Hodl …. give it to your kids to buy a house some day. Maybe …. If it all goes to zero you had some fun blogging.

Of all the various Blogging Crypto Projects I have tried ... Steem / SBD / Tron have done the best. Up 56 % , 138 %, 88% in one year. I should have held on to all of my Steem and SBD ...
