Blurt Tribaldex Pool Incentives Update

In July 2022, we announced that the SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.BLURT pool on Tribaldex would be incentivised with 100,000 BLURT for 200 days. That distribution cycle will end in under 30 days and, as also stated in that post, it is time to announce the next cycle.

The swap pool was started back in December 2021, and in January 2022 the Tribaldex platform announced that it would be paying some of the swap fees to liquidity providers. In almost exactly one year, our HIVE:BLURT pool has seen a volume of almost $290,000 and fees earnt of almost $330; that's the equivalent of 45,000 BLURT. Many users do not notice such earnings as they are added incrementally to the value of each LP-token, so it is worth highlighting that such swap fee rewards are on top of any distributed incentives.

We would like to continue to support that swap pool, so will establish a new distribution cycle of 80,000 BLURT for a further 200 days, starting the day after the current cycle finishes.

If the current swap volume is maintained, the pool will also generate an estimated 25,000 BLURT-equivalent within that period, pushing total estimated earnings above 100k BLURT.

As the Blurt blockchain curation rewards have been hovering around the 10% APR level for some weeks, the earnings for liquidity pool stakers will be competitive with this, while also being a source of passive income.

For those existing LPers, you may see one day without distributions, or even a couple of days with double rewards! The setting up of a new distribution contract means the behaviour of two contracts running in parallel is not clear. Just to assure you that no rewards will be missing, but they may appear at odd times during this period of overlap.

We hope this will encourage further staking within our swap pool. Remember that the higher the TVL (total value locked) of a pool, the lower the slippage when making a token swap.
