The main reason we invest in crypto is with the hope that the price will increase above what we bought it at so that we get to make some profit.
Staking, lending, farming, to earn more of the token is just a bonus on top.
When the price of a token you have purchased keeps dumping uncontrollably with no hope of recovery, regardless of the staking rewards you are getting, that's a failed investment.
Your primary concern should be price sustainability.
If the current price can't be sustained, let alone increase, whatever APR you're getting will almost always be worthless. At the end of the day, your return will be a net negative.
