Transaction fees

I never noticed transaction fees were so high. This account doesn't get a lot of votes and almost all of what we earn from our posts is getting spent in fees.

Each post has a transaction charge of 0.400 Blurt for a short post and 0.800 Blurt for a long post.

We are not expecting hundreds of Blurt in votes but we anything more than what we are getting right now would make this project worth experimentation.

Yes because this functionality is to avoid spam.

You se that's what you are doing here is from one side good but from other, wrong. Because maybe you buyback some blurts but also making that trending looks worse. You also show investors that something is wrong with the blurt network that it needs to be "saved in this way", which can be perceived as weakness.

Second thing, blockchain size with every post is rising, of course it's just funny amount of bytes but always something. 2000 messages like that, make some difference.
So just imagine that with every post whole network is bigger and bigger and that's means that is more expensive to host it. So that amount what you buy back could be just a drop in the ocean and actually could make more problems than good.

Better option could be if you find some easy way to for example engage users to some fun, contest, or something like curiosity of the day, and part of that blurt will go to buyback.

this not only makes people feel better here and enjoy more to using blurt but also give them some value

Thank you for sharing your ideas. We are a group of Blurt users who already run several projects on Blurt.

This is an experiment that was inspired by a post written by Fervi, one of the top witness. We made some changes to the idea shared by @Fervi and started this small experiment.

We understand the need for transaction fees. We also understand that with each word we add the chain gets bloated and this is how this platform was supposed to operate.

You have mentioned contests and other fun content we do agree that it would be a better way but we do not want to run contests.

We might start writing educational content soon and we are looking for contributors.

Regarding what the investors think I have nothing to say. Blurt being a decentralised platform requires everyone of us to contribute towards the price, development and marketing in anyway we can and we found this way works well for us.

Any activity is cool and I appreciate it, but it seems to me that a smaller number of posts but more engaging users could bring far better result.

In any case, my goal is not to discourage you, so if this is the only option, feel free to do do as you please.

We'll try to limit our posts to 2-3 per day. Let's do this experiment. I know it looks scammy or spammy but we feel that it can be helpful in the long run.

The markets are down right now and there's a world of possibilities. If we can build a portfolio that can grow bigger in a few months or a year we can make some difference.

We are hoping that you would support this experiment because you are the only witness who has any opinion on our project. We are blessed to have the support of top 2 witness.
