Breshier fence and our brashier fence in New Zealand which raises money for breast cancer patients
A little different concept. But it can be said that it is a very unique thing. This women's bra fence is in central Otago, New Zealand. To be accurate, another road on the side. This fence is located on a farm border in the area known as Cardrona Valley. If this fence doesn't have women's roots there are thousands of bras hanging.
These are the women who came to this place hanged like this. This has started out pretty amazingly between Christmas 1998 and New Year 1999 this fence had 4 bras hung by someone. After this is news, the young girls in the state who made it fashion have started hanging their posts here. As of February 1999 there were about 60 posts here. But the landlords cut them off.
After the New Zealand media propaganda for the incident, the young girls started hanging here again. There were about 200 posts here by the year 2000. But he was removed again too. When these events became popular even in foreign countries, the young girls started hanging bra again. By 2006 everyone accepted that it was not harmful to carry on.
It is reported that a group of Japanese and South African students in the area continued this. As of today there are thousands of posts here. Check out this fence which is famous worldwide as Cardrona Bra Fence. Tourists are coming from many countries around the world. Not only that, many of the young girls who come here have also become used to removing the roles they are wearing.
The most important thing I've been through is the charity box here. You can donate any money to anyone who wants. That money will be spent on the welfare of breast cancer patients. New Zealand is reportedly collecting nearly $30,000 each year at the location. Think for a while what would happen if something like this happens in Sri Lanka.
I wrote this post on Sarah page about a year ago. So today, the iron fall women hanged their threads in front of the Presidential Office of Sri Lanka. It's a protest against the cancer hospital asking for female patients undergoing breast cancer treatment.
