We watch our houses burn
Farms flaming fire
Kids clacking their teeth upon the war ground
Our streams boils with bloods
Yet, we await the gods
In silence
the gods saw their shrines razed
Worshippers erased.
And altar defiled with bloods of their priests
Yet, we await the gods

Our children becomes orphans
Our wives, widows
Our husband, widowers.
Yet, we await the gods
In silence
Death becomes our next neighbour
In the heat of the twilight or peace of the eventide
On our farms or in our houses
We see death in his brutish armour and knavish mask
Yet, we await the gods
In silence
We watch them kill us
Without lifting a spear
The greatest strength of peace is defense
If death must come, let him meet us dying on our feets and not in our dreams.
