We made it - after a shitty flight from Lisbon to Cape Town via Frankfurt we finally made it to the city of Cape Town and into our Apartement in Vredehoek. As I´m going to blog a lot about our 3 months stay here I´m going to let you have my first Impressions although we´re very tired.
Since we arrived this morning we were met by friendly people only. The south african people are amazing and we love them already. Very friendly folks. Since we got a rental car for the whole stay we first went to pick up the car. It was my first ride on the left side since we left Australia more than 2 years ago. It was a bit weird again but I´m getting used to it very quickly.
It was only a 20 min ride to our first apartment where we will spend the first week. Check out that awesome place with one of the best views in Cape Town.
The building looks absolutely run down and we live on the 16th floor but the apartement is so nice and the view is amazing.
First I thought the view from the kitchen and living room is amazing as you can see Signal Hill, Lions Head, The Stadion, Harbour and so on...
But then I opened the blinds in the bedroom and the view from there on the Table Mountain is absolutely incredible. Makes me speechless and I can´t wait to wake up tomorrow morning.
After a bad flight with even worse meals we were craving for some good and healthy food which seems to be not hard to find here as there are dozens of amazing cafes and restaurants.
We had a great lunch with cold pressed juices a wrap and a salad plus two coffees at the end and paid around 20 Euro which is a pretty fair price I would say.
That helped us a lot to feel better and gave us new energy to shop some essential groceries. That´s it for now, I´m very tired and need a good sleep.
