What is a quality post?

So I am just finding my feet here on Blurt. I love the idea of being able to interact freely and possibly create a little extra cash at the same time. Particularly since I’ve never really got involved much in crypto currency’s so it’s a nice easy way for me to introduce myself to it without needing too much knowledge and without any financial risk to my relatively small budget.

Whilst I’m working it all out I’ve been perusing posts when I have a spare moment and today I stumbled on one which within had a lot of commenting about what was a quality post and various ways that there should be an element of control regarding what content we receiving .

However....

  1. Who is to decide that? One person might want to read and reward in depth analysis on the stock exchange and another might want to look at bum cleavage and phallic shaped rock formations. Surely the point of separating from the other sites was to step away from judgement and be in a live and let live environment.

  2. The verbal enthusiasm/encouragement to concentrate voting on quality posts could leave newbies with the impression that because their post is not making much dollar it is not good when the reality could be more to die with inefficient tagging and timing. It may result in discouraging people to persevere with the platform.

  3. If the controlling influence of this kind of ‘filtering content’ is the main stakeholders it becomes exactly like the places it was trying to set itself apart from.

Thoughts on this?

Also..
What do you consider quality content?

Much love to you all and hope you have a wonderful evening 🙏❤️

I get what your saying. Either way we each only control our own stake. The point is to just use your own ethical and moral compass in terms of what your voting for.

I have tackled so many of these but quality is what the phrase implies in the saying:

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Then I would suggest these people pick up some skills while they still can and do better. That isn't going to stop. And horde your current earning for the long run. Its not going to be fast but one day the price of one coin will be much higher than today. There are many ways to earn. Infact just doing nothing will earn you more if you stake it. Just set it and forget it. Add more when you got more. Follow a voting trail. (if there is one)

never invest more than what your willing to lose. Dont go all in and all out.

The better the material the better views. Which means more clicks more money.

What do you consider quality content?

Something that fits my moral and ethical compass. An attractive post has a good layout, a well thought out title, as little biased information, does not do what I do which is day dream away, has good grammar, little to no spelling mistakes, pictures are not necessary but if it fits it fits eh? graphs and stats etc charts if its a math or science review or study. showing proof of work. laying out the math etc. clearly shows logic and reason. etc.

Art is cool too. Huge supporter of art.

Yeah, its a complex topic. Sometimes i put into lot of effort to create quality content, and i feel i actually gave value, however it gets barely any upvotes. Other times i write a quick blog, and becames popular. . .i honestly dont get how it works. But for me its a good practice not to take it personally and just have fun with this platform.

Yeah I’ve done posts before and put so much time in and they got hardly anything I think it’s manifesting in general it’s best done with none attachment lol for the enjoyment.

I agree with you 100%. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As long as it’s original or at least some attempt to indicate the Source I’m good.

I think it’s still ok to judge ‘quality’ content but here it’s more that it’s ok to personally judge rather than 20 people judge for the whole platform and what they say goes. So everyone’s idea of quality content might be different and over here that’s ok.

If we take the centralisation spectrum on fb only mark and his fb team decide what gets taken off, on hive about 20 whales decide on blurt each individual decides.

For me personally I like something that shows effort I guess either a drawing, something nicely written, a travel post that has several photos and some writing, but then I also connect to people over comments and support their posts. I guess it’s rly just like fb here it’s a mix of how well you socialise, engaging with like minded people and posting what you feel you like, knowing that there will be other ppl who like it too. The main thing tho I think is consistency a lot of ppl wifh bigger upvotes have probably been on blockchain social for years at the least months and very proactive.

I’m on trending right now and I don’t have a big stake. My vote is only worth 3 c . I did it by forging connections, building community, posting daily and trying to make an effort with my images to make them look nice etc. I think your posts are awesome personally and with consistency and engagement will do rly well ❤️💪🏻

Thank you. Enjoying your posts too! I’m trying to remember to reblurt (not been doing that up to now but will try and do it more often) and upvote when I’m here at least a few posts at a time that I see and enjoy. I’m not quite in the swing of it yet but getting there 😊❤️🙏

I think commenting is the number one most important thing

Good evening, quality content is subjective. What may be a good thing for me may not be for you. Each author can express what he considers necessary and that content will have the necessary impact on others, but if that content is not of interest to others you will certainly not get good rewards. For example I am not a friend of selfies, but I prefer deep publications that make me reason and explode my neurons. Here nobody is going to control what is published or how it is voted, it depends on what you offer as an author and the social connections that you create.

Thank you for your input. Yes I agree 😊 I have a varied interest so I like many different things from hilariously silly to in depth and thought provoking. And of course music and art related stuff.
