Blurt's an interesting place and although it's not used by many at this moment, there are quite a few exchanges where you can sell your hardly earned BLURT.

Is it hard to earn BLURT?

Everyone can get an upvote a day on the Blurt Discord Channel so it isn't hard at all to start earning. Then there are various activities where you can participate to get a nice upvote from @blurtmob or other Blurt whales. Right now, there's a Twitter initiative going on where you can earn an upvote. Check it out!

For example, this comment where I proved to favorite BLURT on CoinGecko got me more than 50 BLURT! And it's certainly a great feeling even at BLURT worth $0.02. We all know anything can happen, especially in the crypto-verse.

What earns more?

From my experience, it was this post about weed that brought me the most BLURT (97.83 when paid out). It seems that many cannabis lovers are also blockchain lovers. Maybe soon I'll start posting some of my rolled-up beauties for all the stoners to enjoy!
