I like the restored model, as long as it doesn’t go overboard and take away too much of the original style.Depends on the condition it starts out in. Clean original keep it original, ratty project, make it your own.Original surviving and increasingly rare sheet metal should stay original wherever possible. BUT, if one were to create faithful copies then feel free to experiment and enhance the original designs.
I like the body's to stay looking as close to stock as possible. Other than that go for it just don't drop it in the dirt. But that's meMore than enough originals around to mod out a few is no big deal I don’t think. If they were rare thata a different story
I like em both, most people don't realize how weak the X frames are on these, I would replace the frame with new coil over shocks but I would stay with a holly 4150hp 4barrel 750 cfm carb which we sell and service and sometimes as in this car u need to replace the complete interior and why not make it comfortable.
If you have a complete of nearly complete original, leave it original. If you are rebuilding a basket case change everything you can afford and build a car you can actually drive like it was a modern one. It's your car, make yourself happy.
