When is a loss not a loss?

When there is a superb community around.
Having wrote yesterday about my potential or likely loss of 4411 tokens on hive-engine, in true friendly community style people rallied and upvoted my posts and comments.
Yes it will not equal the value of the loss, but is money everything anyway? Not to me at least.
The spirit from the community means more to me than monetary losses, plus if I compare the start here compared to steemit or hive I have to say it was much easier anyway and more pleasant.
You could say part of that is a lot of my long term friends migrated here also, which does make it easier to integrate and saves all the time having to make new friends by going in search of them.
But make new friends I have too, so added bonus, good eggs like rycharde, ultravioletmag, offgridlife, mariuszkarowski and oh so many more, note not tagging anyone as that to me is like begging.

thank you.webp

Thank you.

I know for a fact the old steemit/hive crew would have said I was bleating, throwing a hissy fit or would be simply put - rude, or possibly they would have just totally ignored me as it is not a huge loss in their eyes, but here it is different.
And that is why I did not throw my toys out of the pram, no need, too old, and in calm waters, there is no need to jump ship or panic. Blurt is calm.

So I say thank you for being different to them, yes it may be based on the old steemit code, yes it may not be perfect, but all the same blurt is a country mile ahead of the competition, and only going to get better.

Tokens aside, community spirit is worth more than them and worth more than money, I will take the former over the latter.

Blurt on good people, and once again, THANK YOU.

Have a superb day where ever you are in the world, one love, one people.

I get ya now buddy, and going to give them 4411 away to people that need them today and tomorrow, what goes around comes around, there is always someone more in need than I.
I was walking around the fields we have here today, and it hit me, really I have zero problems in life, nothing, not a single one, so I have no right to complain about anything, full stop.

Hope you have a great day ahead mate and yep money isn't everything and having a great community is much better👍

You too buddy, and agreed 100%, I would rather be in a community of nice souls, than one or two filled with greedy souls always banging on about reward pools.

My vote doesn't offset much since I already regularly upvote you anyway ;)

I know for a fact the old steemit/hive crew would have said I was bleating, throwing a hissy fit or would be simply put - rude

I think the one you would have heard the most of would have been

This is why you don't keep your coins on an exchange. Not your wallet, not your coins.

I don't think most crypto purists understand that the not your keys or not your wallet bullshit they spew to display lack of caring is probably one of the top reasons there will never be a mass adoption.

Blurt really is about community, unlike the other chains. When I powered down long ago on Hive, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with those coins really. I'm not a crypto person as the idea that a string of numbers on an internet ledger could be worth (in Bitcoins case for sure) insane amount of money is ludicrous.

I just left it sitting in the Hive wallet for about a half a year until I was convinced to join Blurt. It took a lot of research into the people behind it to convince me it wouldn't just be more of the same.

Tokens aside, community spirit is worth more than them and worth more than money, I will take the former over the latter.

I've been pushing the idea since coming that it is we the community that is the value, and a true price will reflect that value. The only reason I believe there is value on the other chains is because they faked it before they could convince others to build atop it by wash trading to create an illusion of value.

Here at Blurt we have kicked and scrambled for every small increase in monetary value, the core of us never losing hope because how could we? We saw and understood we are the real value.

Glad you came over, and I hope this is the year more realize all that second layer shit isn't the answer. Blurt forked from Steem the way it was meant to be forked and fixed.

The post I did yesterday here about USA being a corporation, I put the same post on VYB which also posts to hive, and told everyone they have a wallet here to match what they had at the fork, I think it will bring many more here, I hope anyway.
The bad players on hive do not read my stuff anyway, so doubt they will see it, fingers crossed.
The most annoying part of steemit and hive is the quote "You are a small player, you have not invested enough to be worthy of thought" & "you are always powering down, so not worthy of consideration" that they spew at people with less stake, then the never ending "it is not yours till 7 days ends, so my downvote is my choice" with that suck it up buttercup attitude. Arrogant does not even start to cover some people from hive and steemit.
P.S. Thanks for the support, it all helps, even a little, cheers brother.
