In simple words we can define gametogenesis, it is the first phase of embroyogenesis, or we can say that when the organism attained sexual maturity, or when the male and female becomes sexually alert. This process is different in organisms. This maturity process is different in different organisms, for example when human male and female come close to each other and are doing sexual behaviour this means they have attaine sexual maturity, while as the animals 🐵🐔🐶🐷 they have particular period of time for breeding season.
When the male sex cells or gametes produce spermatozoon or sperm cells the process is known as spermatogenesis, on the other hand when the female ♀️ gametes produce egg 🥚 or ovum the process is known as oogenesis.
In some organisms both male ♂️ and female ♀️ gametes are produced by single individual they are called as hermaphrodite or monoecious.
Mostly both the gametes are produced seperatly by their own individuals they are known as unisexual organisms or dioecious and the whole phenomenon is called as Gonochorism.
Differences
There is a lot of differences between men and women in all terms, like male ♂️ gonads are concerned with the production of testes and the ovaries in females and this represents the primary sexual characters.
Penis, vas deferens, epididymis, prostrate in male ♂️ while as vagina, oviduct, clitoris and vagina in ♀️ these are the secondary sexual charactets.
The high pitch of voice of females are higher than males. The breasts in females which are rudimentary in males, body structure, muscle structure and skeleton is stronget than females, the way of talking and the seperation of sexes, the whole process is known as sexual **Dimorphism **
Ontogenetic development
When the male and female ♀️ sexes produces new individual in a certain suitable and favourable conditions, when the sperm enters into the ovum the sperm coded information is decoded by egg and this coding and decoding of information is done with the cells is known as ontogenetic development
