One of the most beautiful Apsaras (nymphs), Surekha (that's me, Rekha, in real life!), successfully seduces the great sage Maharshi Suneela (that's my beloved husband Sunil in real life!), thereby distracting him from his Tapasya (deep meditation) aimed at acquiring supreme knowledge!
Do Apsaras habitually seduce the meditating sages? In my opinion, no, they don't do it habitually because they live merrily with their male counterparts, the Gandharvas, in their own Gandharva Loka (the realm of Gandharvas). It is Indra, the Lord of Devaloka (the realm of Gods), who assigns the task of distracting the sages' meditation to Apsaras because Indra fears the idea of mortal human beings acquiring either supreme knowledge or supernatural powers, which should belong only to the Gods!
Apsaras many times risk their own safety in an attempt to foil the meditation of the sages because, on many occasions, the sages who get furious at being distracted curse the Apsaras. As a result, the cursed Apsaras turn into various undesirable elements like trees, rocks, animals, etc., and remain so for ages until they gain liberty from the sages' curse!
I am simply fascinated by mythological characters and folklore, and so is my husband. We used facial photographs of both of us as reference images to create this AI mythological scene!
