NYTimes on RFK jr

interesting times, but replacing corrupt people in NHH agencies as RFK announces will not change much. The power of agencies such as NIH, CDC, FDA... should be minimized, because fired big pharma and big food lobbyists could be back in 4 years

All of those agencies, and others, should be defunded and dismantled, because they are instruments of fascism. Any replacements of them, in today's fascist climate, would quickly be co-opted. Let us figure out for ourselves what products are safe and effective. We would do a better job than those criminals do.

I love old newspapers for many reasons. One is the advertisements of snake oil and various miracle products! Hahaha, awesome bit of history. And I also love the articles and ads taken out by people warnings AGAINST various fraudsters and bad products. Buyer beware! Do your due diligence, seek reviews, ask around. Having a nanny to ensure we only take approved substances does NOT work.

I recently learned that the AMA was founded to thwart homeopathy, which was cutting into their profits because it was curing diseases that conventional medicine saw its patients dying of. Allopathic doctors felt threatened that their patients were getting well instead of kicking the bucket, and the AMA was born. They went so far as to forbid membership to anyone who either practiced homeopathy, even if it was alongside allopathy, or was married to someone who did. Sounds so familiar!
