Anytime I remember some childhood memories, I will just laugh because I know I did some stupid things just for fun, back then I wasn't a free child all because of the fear I had for my dad, I can bet it, almost everyone fear their dad. My mom was somehow simple but my dad wasn't, he doesn't beat us like that but anytime he hold that cane, we will be trembling, so that fear always make us sit at home, we only leave the house just for 3 things, school, church or market, anything apart from this 3 will lead to punishment so I don't really had friends then except the other children in our compound.
I was curious about the life outside our compound, really don't like being caged and the only option to be free was during school time but not that free so somehow I started sneaking out, our fence wasn't that high because it was made in a way people can sit or even relax on it, so I will just make sure either my mom and dad weren't outside, then pretend I just want to sit then boom I'm off, it was weird the first time but got use to it after continuous sneaking out, if dad was around, will wait for him to take his afternoon nap and I'm off, gradually I made friend outside and they started teaching me stuff and one of the stuff was how to play playstation, it was ps 2 then, so we just go there every time play games, watch ball and all, we even ate fried fish.
Now the interesting part was all this didn't come for free, they were sponsoring or should I say were baiting me and I had no clue, so at some point, they ran out of money for all the stuff we use to do and somehow it was my turn to reciprocate, Money I don't, I don't really have pocket money since we do eat and take food to school, somehow just to keep the friendship and sneaking fun going, I had to take picking my mom pocket with this motto "my mom money is also my money", anytime I remember that phrase I will just laugh, well It went from small small money to small money (levelling up), at some point I got addicted to the games that I spend hours on it, if my fingers aren't paining me, I won't stop, will even lost count of time but one day I got caught, it wasn't a funny day, it seems they notice I do sneak out at home, I don't know how but I was too deep in the game, when my ear was pulled, I looked up and I saw my mom in the game center and my sis outside, omo composure went down to zero that day, I was crying and begging her not to tell my dad, I had to promise her that day and I stop sneaking out. Nowadays if I on my game console, It do bring back that memory and I will just laugh about it, who know what I would have become if I wasn't caught at that time.
