It is Sunday, and we had a nice little breakfast with the family. We don't always do so, but today we found the Bible and read a few verses from the Bible, from Matthew 6:25-34. It is about not worrying and seeking the kingdom of God first.
It is such an easy scripture, but if you think about it, incredibly powerful. Instead of thinking first about what we will wear, what we should eat, or how we will earn enough money, or main focus should be on seeking God, his kingdom and his will. That isn't a lazy thing, because actually not behaving in the way our world thinks isn't necessarily easy. It takes a lot of energy and needs to be a constant decision, if not, we will become like everyone else seeking first money, food, clothes... instead of God.
And the beauty of it all; God has promised to take care of us throughout this entire process and he has promised that he will give us everything else in addition. Of course, trusting this isn't necessarily easy, but that is why God is calling us to live by faith and not by common sense or what we see.
Wish you all a beautiful Sunday!
