Take a step while waiting for the right

Once upon a time there was a photographer by the name Daniel of a small town he will be considered to be very patient man and very meticulous. He thought every masterpiece needed the right time. He walked around with his camera for many years, hoping for the one legendary picture that would make his life. However, every other year passed as Daniel never pressed the shutter. The sun was not bright, the wildlife was not ideally positioned, and cities lacked the feel that he wanted.

At last, Daniel got senile and died, and left his family and generations of countless rolls of untouched film, untouched and blank. People buried him together with the hopes and the talents of an artist that never got to make any art.

Daniel’s story teaches a vital lesson: perfection is an illusion. Wasting years waiting for the right time and the perfect opportunity, he lost so many opportunities to generate and give beauty to this world. As life contains no waiting rooms, it is about taking the risk, grabbing every opportunity and accept the flaws.

For those who have attempted it and failed, this is a story for the womanising man who just couldn’t hit the target Daniel. Not taking a shot is not failure; it is learning. Every trying increases your focus and helps build character in case of missing the target. Every business strives for success but this does not define success as a business exercise but as a business person by saying that success is not a function of not failing but one that never gives up.

One may fail and miss ten shots, or a hundred, but the next shot could turn everything around. Unlike Daniel saying let’s wait for a better picture to take a shot, dare to take the imperfect shot today. Seize what happens or at least the imperfect picture of it. Every single move gets the artist nearer to the work of art he wants to produce.

Do not allow yourself to be kept wake up by fear of failure or paralysis by analysis in anticipation of the perfect moment. The only real way to fail is not to aim for something and go for it. Take your camera— or whatever apparatus you need to capture your dreams— and capture it. One of the most important aspects of live is to be brave and do something, and not wait until something better comes along.
