I will start this post with a quote from a Greek philosopher and writer:
"I'm afraid to die and a lot of stories dies within me" ~ Nikos Kazantzakis.

In this quote Kazantzakis emphasize on the deep feelings and thoughts that one gets when getting older. Within time passing by and with all experiences that one is goes through. He learns a lot. It is important to mention that not all experiences are the same. There are some experiences which have more depths and teaches us more than others. For instance, when we lose someone we love or when we try our best and fail to achieve what we wanted to achieve.

Shifting to the story behind this post...

I remember seeing a live interview for a writer. He was seeing that grew old, and books were part of his life since he was in the twenties. He says that, he reached to a point where people are coming to him randomly to ask him about random things. Because, they know that this person will be able to give them the opinion from different angles and cite the people said them.
In his interview he said that he gathered a lot of knowledge through experience and books and he wishes that before he leaves this world, that someone would come to him and take his ideas and knowledge alongside his whole library of books.

Personal thoughts...

I think it is difficult to be unique in the way you think or see things differently, and know that these views of the world will end with you. Because, at some point in life, you understand that not everything that you know can be taught to someone else. People normally have to relate to learn from each other.

I guess, we can end this post with quote, the same way it started:
"Not everything that is known by one, should be said".
